This is one of the most elegant avenues in Paris, between the Champs-Elysées and the Pont de l'Alma. It is bordered by luxury apartment blocks and prestigious boutiques of the famous Parisian and European fashion designers. At number 15, is the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées built in 1912 by the Perret brothers. The big auditorium, decorated by the painter Maurice Denis, has received the greatest names in music and dance of the 20th Century, in particular the Russian ballets of Diaghilev. At number 25, the Plaza Athénée is one of the classiest Parisian luxury hotels.
