The Correr museum is located in Piazza San Marco, in the Ala Napoleonica and Procuratie Nuove. The construction of the wing was executed during the era when Venice was annexed by Napoleon, where stood the ancient church of San Geminiano. The inside Empire style decorations were made by the artist Giuseppe Borsato. The hall's ceiling representing the Glory of Neptune was done by Sebastiano Santi.
