This garden started out as a dream - that of Albert Kahn (1860-1940), an excentric banker and a travelling humanist. As his fortune grew, Albert Kahn financed this 4 hectare park with his own means, which is intended to be a vision of an Earth reconciled where different civilisations live together in harmony. Here, roses jostle with fruit trees; the English garden is set alongside the wild Vosgian forest; the French garden opens out onto Japanese pavilions where traditional tea parties regularly take place... An ideal world within easy reach of the metro; an oasis of plant poetry right in the heart of the city.
