The Palazzo Mocenigo was built in the early XVI century and enlarged in the XVIIth century. It has two identical façades, one overlooking the water and the other the salizada. It was given by Alvise Nicolo to the city of Venice in 1945 to make it an art gallery. The restored halls were opened to the public in 1985. It also hosts the headquarters of the study centre of textile and costume history along with its library.



Things to see: a superb collection of Venitian clothes and accessories made of precious fabric and materials.
