Vast expanses of flowers and a vegetable garden provide really peaceful surroundings in which you can relax, a short distance from the capital. The château and park came about as the result of a bet between Marie-Antoinette and the Comte d'Artois, who had acquired the domain in 1775. This "bagatelle" miraculously sprang up from the earth in sixty-four days !
