Built for the Universal Exhibition of 1900 and today magnificently restored, the Petit Palais is situated close to the Champs-Elysées. Its collections cover a period of time from Antiquity to the present-day. Three collections in particular are noteworthy: the Tuck collection which brings together furniture and objets d'art from the 17th and 18th Century; the incredible Dutuit collection with its ceramics, paintings, and sculptures: Greek, Roman and Egyptian, with some dating from the Middle Ages and the Dutch School; finally, the "Paris 1900" collection which unites great names in art of that time, such as Ingres, Delacroix, Cézanne, Degas and Courbet.
